Mr. Willie Calvin Rhodes, Sr. was born to Willie Bessie Trammell and the late Emanuel Rhodes, Sr. on May 25, 1963, in Indianapolis, Indiana.

Willie attended Indianapolis Public Schools, graduating from Arsenal Tech High School. As a child he was affectionately called “Calvin” by his family but after becoming a young man he preferred to be called “Will.”

Will accepted Christ at an early age and was baptized at Friendship Missionary Baptist Church under the leadership of the late Rev. Arthur Johnson, Sr.

He was formerly employed by Kroger for many years and was currently employed as a Merchandiser for Frito Lay for 13 years. Will was very laid back and easy going. He enjoyed traveling, playing cards, listening to music and watching sports. He was an avid Colts fans.

Will was an awesome son, a very loving and devoted father and grandfather. He especially enjoyed spending time with his 2 grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his brother, Jerome Rhodes.

Mr. Willie Calvin Rhodes, Sr. departed this life on Saturday, November 21, 2020 at the age of 57 years old.

He leaves to cherish his memory son, Willie Calvin Rhodes, Jr.; his loving and devoted mother, Willie Bessie Trammell; grandchildren, Raylynn and Kenneth Rhodes; brother, Michael L. Hudson; sister, Quinn Marie Trammell; a very special cousin, Angela Timberlake; half-brothers: Emanuel Rhodes, Jr. (Patricia), Darrell Rhodes, Mark Rhodes, Maurio Rhodes (Tamika) and DeLonzo Rhodes; half-sisters, Sherry Rhodes, Amanda Rhodes-Ward (Richard), Michelle Stone-Coffie (Reuben) and Markeshia Walker; a host of aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.
