Viola Whitney

Viola Z. Whitney went home to be with the Lord on July 31, 2013. She was born in Elmore County, Alabama, August 17, 1924. Viola moved to Indianapolis at an early age. She was a member of Eastern Star Missionary Baptist Church until her death. Surrounded by her children. Visitation, Friday, August 9th 9:30 am until service time of 11 am at Eastern Star Baptist Church, 5750 E 30th Street, Indianapolis, IN.She was preceded in death by her husband; Vernon C. Whitney, Jr., a daughter, Rosetta Whitney, two sons, Raymond C. Whitney Sr., Steven Whitney, Sr.She is survived by her sons, Waymond C. Whitney, Paul Whitney, Sr.(Martha), Harold L. Whitney, Sr.(Carolyn), Dwight Whitney, Sr. (Lind), Delbert Whitney(Cathy), five daughters: Roberta Watson(William), Patricia A. Whitney, Mary M. Blair(Al), Beverly R. Whitney Pillow, Viola M. Whitney Swan, grandchildren and great grandchildren and great great grandchildren and host of nieces and nephews.
