Terri Mischelle Carmichael

May 10, 1960 — July 10, 2008

Terri Mischelle Grady was born May 10, 1960 in Indianapolis, IN at Methodist Hospital.. She was the daughter of Leslie N. Grady Sr. and Jeanette M. Hardister Grady. She attended Indianapolis Public Schools #66, Kennedy Middle School and John Marshall High School. Terri professed a hope in Christ and was baptized and became a member of The Church Of The Living God P.G.T. #2, under the leadership of Overseer George W. Coleman Sr., later casting her membership with Greater Whitestone Missionary Baptist Church under Pastor Leon Woods. Terri later returned to The Church Of The Living God P.G.T. #2 under the leadership of Overseer Thomas R. Howard Sr. She was a faithful member serving on the Nurses Aid Board. Terris last time at church was January 20, 2008, and she was on Nurses Aid duty when she became ill but she finished her job and after church she had to be taken to the hospital. The next day Terri was released from the hospital but had to return again on January 25 and was there until the Lord called her home. Terri was employed at Valle Vista Hospital on West 10th Street until she became too ill to work. She was a foster mother to many and a mother and grandmother to Joenette Willis and her children. Terri was a friend to all, her heart and her door was always open. Terri knew no strangers and her big beautiful smile was always on her face even when she was sick in the hospital she would always say I Wont Complain. Terri was a very loving mother, daughter, sister, aunt and friend who will be greatly missed by every one who knew her. Her friends called her Ruby Red. Terris husband, Larry Hart; brother Matthew L. Grady; grandparents, Howard and Ida Grady, James and LouBertha Hardister and Eva M. Kelly Hardister King; nephew, Anthony C. Grady all preceded her in death and were waiting to welcome her home. The last week of June the hospital chaplain came to pray with Terri and while she was praying two white doves came to Terris window to check on her, the doves flew away and the next day they came back looking in the window and flew away again to give God the report that Terri was weary and needed rest. On Thursday July 10, 2008 at 5:20 am at the age of 48 years and two months God called Terris name and now she is resting and is at peace in the arms of her Lord and Savoir Jesus Christ. Terri leaves to cherish her memory a family she loved very much: her son, William Kelly Grady; father, Leslie N. Grady Sr.; mother, Jeanette M. Hardister Grady; five sisters, Carol J. Darden, LaDonna R. Quarles, Lezlie L. Holmes, Lynnette M and Naomi E. Grady; four brothers, Leslie N. Jr. (Nicole), Darren L, Mark A, and Luke A. Grady; a special niece Lynniece Mischelle Grady who was born on Terris birthday and shares her middle name; other nieces and nephews, a host of relatives, church family and many friends.
