Shirley Ann Watkins

Shirley Ann Watkins was the daughter of the late Powell and Essie Jane Alexander was born July 14, 1957 in Indianapolis, Indiana.

She professed a hope in Christ at an early age and united with the 25th Street Baptist Church under the late Rev. Odom.

Shirley was educated in the Indianapolis Public School #41 and Crispus Attucks. In 2002, she was united in holy matrimony to James Watkins, Sr. who proceeded her in death.

She was a fun loving, happy go lucky music and animal lover who never met a stranger. Her smile and laughter were contagious. Shirley departed this life June 5, 2020. She leaves to cherish her memories, a daughter Tamika Parker Hatchett, one grandson Murriel Powell Parker, a sister Moreen Lawrence and a host of extended family and friends.
