Shiffon Lashelle Sargent

Shiffon Lashelle Sargent was born on September 13, 1986 to Joyce Sholar and Brian Sargent in Indianapolis, Indiana.

Shiffon received her education in Washington Township schools, Lawrence Township schools and Broad Ripple High School, she then started her higher education at Ivy Tech Community College. Her initial dream was to become a Dental Hygienist.

Shiffon became a mom of two sons, Larry Garner (aka Travis) and Steffon Miller, whom she loved and cherished dearly.

Shiffon loved God, she professed a hope in Christ and was baptized at an early age. No matter what life threw at her, she never forgot about this special relationship with her Lord and Savior. She also loved music, singing and baking. Shiffon loved her self-care time by receiving manicures, pedicures and massages. Her favorite items to purchase were new pairs of tennis shoes and jewelry. Everyone that knew her knows what cleanliness meant to her. Everything had to be cleaned and organized.

Shiffon departed this precious life on Saturday, April 4, 2026, at the young age of 39 years old. Her grandparents, Frances and William Sargent; and sibling, Brian Sargent Jr., preceded her in death.

Shiffon is survived by her sons, Larry Garner and Steffon Miller; parents, Brian Sargent and Joyce Miller (Adel); siblings: DeMarae Davis, Brittney Sargent, Iri Sargent, Juwan Sargent, Jaishawn Sargent, Brayton Sargent and Joseph Sargent; grandparents, Cleo Dockery and William Sholar (Regina); and a host of loving family and friends.
