Saundra Elaine O'Bannon-Thomas

Mrs. Saundra O’Bannon Thomas, the daughter of Nora B. O’Bannon and Norman O’Bannon was born on Oct 26,1966 in Indianapolis IN where she received her primary education. Saundra graduated Decatur Central high School where she ran track and sung in the choir. Saundra went on to further her education at Vincennes University.

At an early age Saundra professed a belief in Christ, and she was baptized. She joined New Liberty Missionary Baptist Church where she was a faithful member and sung in the choir/praise team.

Saundra had a lot of hobbies. She enjoyed going to the casinos, playing cards, dancing and cooking big meals for her family. She was known for making the best sweet potato pies and cornbread dressing. She loved spending time with her family, grandchildren and taking trips. Saundra was the life of the party and enjoyed making everyone around her laugh.

Mrs. Saundra O’Bannon Thomas was called home to Christ on May 9th, 2025, at the tender age of 58. She proceeded in death by her father Norman O’Bannon and mother Nora B. O’Bannon

Saundra is survived by her children, Antell Garnett, Ceira O’Bannon (Lashauna O’Bannon) and Chanel Osborne, sisters; Kim O’Bannon and Shenelle Bowers, grandchildren; Antell, Charlii, Shayon, Torrin, A’Laun and A’Launi, nephews; Montell O’Bannon and Desmond O’Bannon including a host of other family, friends and loved ones.
