Sandra Kay Green

Sandra Kay Green, daughter of Louie E. and Etta Mae Stokes Green, was born on December 7th, 1950, in Indianapolis, Indiana. She attended P.S. #56 for elementary and graduated from Arsenal Technical High School, class of 1968.

As a lifelong member of Scott United Methodist Church, she served in many capacities including the United Women of Faith, the Chancel Choir and even in technical support.

Sandra was a 31-year employee of the United States Postal Service. During that time, she also acquired an associate’s and bachelor’s in applied science from ITT and later an MBA from the University of Phoenix. In her spare time, she enjoyed many things, including bowling, playing cards, skating and riding motorcycles.

Although Sandy had no children of her own, her heart was open to all her nieces and nephews as well as the great nieces and great nephews or anyone else that needed her. Her favorite saying to the kids was “whippings will be given “, but only gave love, hugs and support.

Sandra Kay Green received her wings on April 27, 2026. She leaves to cherish in memory, brothers Anthony and Steven; sister Joyce; beloved aunt Rhoda Tunstell and uncle George Stokes, 11 nieces and nephews, and a host of great nieces and nephews, cousins and friends.
