Quartavis L. Jones "Deacon"

Mr. Quartavis L. “ Deacon” Jones, the only son to Zebedee and Jacqueline Wright, was born February 19, 1984 in Charleston, Mississippi.

Quartavis professed a hope in Christ at a very young age at United Old Bethel Church in Sharkey Road, Mississippi.

He was employed at Old Dominion Freight Line Inc. as a forklift driver until his health failed. Deacon was a sports fan of basketball and football, but most of all, he loved spending time with family. Deacon enjoyed life to the fullest; he will be sadly missed by all who knew and loved him.

Mr. Quartavis LaZeb “Deacon” Jones was called home to the Lord on Tuesday, April 4, 2023 at the age of 39.

He leaves to cherish his memory to his sons, Dallas LaZeb Jones and Tayvion Deylon Gaines; mother, Jacqueline Jones; brothers, Marco Allen (Leslie) of Sentobia, Mississippi and Herbert Owens of Indianapolis, Indiana; aunts: Rachel, Mary, Shirley, Eva, Linda, Carol, Rosetta, Shelia, Della, Shirley Miller and Lossie Davis; uncles: James “B.B.”, Michael “M.C.”, R.G., Donald, Trent, Dennis, Lavell, Norman, Willie C., Sherman and Wellington; he also leaves a host of cousins, loving family and friends.
