Paula Patricia Kerr

Paula Patricia Kerr, 89, of Indianapolis, Indiana died on April 12, 2026 surrounded by loved ones. Paula was born in Greencastle, Indiana to Mary Alyce and George Henry Carroll in 1936. Paula is the widow of Melvin E Kerr, Sr. and together they had nine children. Paula retired from the US government as an EEO Specialist with more than 25 years of service.

Paula is preceded in death by her parents, husband, Melvin, son-in-law, Michael Thiel, and daughter, Debbie Simmons.Known for her culinary skills, strong faith, nurturing spirit and warmth, Paula leaves many to cherish her memory, including children: Wanda Willis (Larry), Kemp Goode Sr. (Loretta), Monica Goode, Karen Trammell, Brenda Dodd (McKinley), Melvin Kerr Jr. (Brenda), Kerstin Thiel and Francheska Watts (Kevin); grandchildren: Anthony Kerr (Tori), Kemp Goode Jr (Jamie), Alycia Moorman, Anthony Snow, Joseph Goode, Gerald Trammell, James Simmons III (Crystal), Monique Kerr, Tasha Marshall Ratcliffe, Brian Trammell, Melvin Kerr III, Teena Pruitt (Marcus), Sabrina Kerr, Terrance Kerr, Kayla Watts, and Brooke Watts; 26 great grandchildren and 1 great-great grandson.
