Mia S. Wallace-Wilson

September 10, 1970 — November 11, 2025

Indianapolis

Mia was born on September 10, 1970, in Indianapolis, Indiana to Josephine and Walter Wallace II. She attended IPS schools and became a certified nursing assistant in 1993. She then became an entrepreneur and owned her own home healthcare and transportation business for many years.

Mia departed this earth on November 11, 2025, at the age of only 55 years old. She was preceded in death by her parents, Josephine and Walter Wallace; Wayne Hash (stepfather); and Johnny Puckett (uncle).

Mia was a loving mother, wife, aunt, sister, and friend to many. She had many hobbies including: singing, dancing, watching TV, playing games, and spending time with her family. Mia was strong in her faith in Yahuah and made sure we all stood strong in our faith. She will be remembered for doing everything she could to help any and everyone. She got her strength from her mother Josephine Wallace, who was her rock, and the rock of the Wallace/Puckett family.

She leaves to cherish her precious memories: her husband, David Wilson; children: Jalisa Williams (Jemele), Josh Brisco (Barbara), Josephine Brisco, Janeka Wallace, Dejuan Wilson, Keanna Wilson, and Corey Wilson; siblings: Leroy Puckett (Kisa), Walter Wallace III (Kim Foster), and Lisa Wallace. She was also a loving mother figure to many more. She had many grandchildren and a host of nieces and nephews who loved their Nana/Auntie MeMe.

Mia always told us that “This is not our home”. Enjoy your time here with your loved ones while you have them and give them their flowers while you still can. We will never move on, but we will move forward.
