Mary L. Jackson

                                      Obituary

Mary Lorena Jackson was born in Mound City Illinois May 9th 1936 to Otis Allen and Lucille Moss-Allen. She was the 3rd child of their union. Mary was saved at early, loved Sunday School, and singing in the Choir. Mary loved learning and graduated from high school and went on to take college courses in accounting & worked in that capacity in the accounting department of Verizon for 10 years where she retired, before then she worked for 20 years for RCA before retiring.

Mary was a faithful worker in the Church of God in Christ as an usher and went on to become usher board president in her district appointed by Bishop Hall, which she worked faithfully until her health & mobilty began to limit her ability to continue.

She was preceded in death by both parents, her loving and supportive sister Helen Harris, her older brother Otis, and her loving husband Armond Jackson. Mary has a surviving brother Clarence Allen, and she leaves behind her loving daughter Darlene Malachi, Grandson Israel Malachi, and Son-in-law Joshua T. Malachi.

The family thanks all those who came together in our time of sadness & joy, especially Pastor Rodney Avant, Elder Gilbert Avant, and Special Thanks to Mother Darlene Stone, all of whom along with other members of the 28th Street Church of God in Christ to aid our small family in making this time of grief and joy much more seamless as Mary has gone on to be with our Lord.
