Marilyna, better known as "Marl Or MJ" to family and friends was born in Indianapolis, IN on Sunday August 2nd, 1981, to Barbara Day and Willie Johnson and raised by Wayne Day Sr. Marl was 44yrs young at the time of her heavenly transition. Marl accepted Christ as her Lord and Savior at an early age and remained steadfast throughout her life. She was a member of One Vision in Christ Community Baptist Church.
Marl attended Indianapolis Public Schools and furthered her education at Harshman Middle School and Arsenal Business Management. Marilyna was known for her strong work ethic, dedication, and integrity qualities that were evident in everything she did. She began her career serving others as a Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) and later advanced to become a Qualified Medication Aide, a role she faithfully carried out for five years. Her compassion for others extended beyond her profession. In addition to her healthcare career, Marilyna embraced her entrepreneurial spirit by operating her scrub business, H&M Scrubs, combining her professional experience with her passion for service and style. Marl was truly the life of the party, a vibrant spirit whose laughter and energy could light up any room.
She had a gift for bringing people together and making every gathering special, whether she was singing her favorite songs at the top of her lungs, dancing with pure joy and learning new TikTok moves, She found happiness in the simple pleasures: cooking meals that brought everyone to the table, decorating with care and creativity, capturing memories through countless pictures, and traveling to create new adventures. Marl had a beautiful way of brightening people’s days, she was the heart that kept everyone connected, her presence was a celebration, her smile unforgettable, and her legacy one of joy, unity, and boundless love.
Marl is now at peace, reunited with her beloved mother, Barbara Day; her sister, Evelyn Tudor; her nephew; Dayron Tudor; Her brother; Patrick Williams; her child’s father, Ervin Crabtree; and a host of other cherished relatives who welcomed her with open arms. Marl leaves behind to cherish her loving memory her father, Wayne Day Sr.; her beloved children, Ervin Crabtree, Elaja Johnson, Christopher Rudolph, and Maxwell Love Jr.; her devoted significant other, Maxwell Love; and her cherished siblings, LaShowna Perkins, Wayne Day Jr(LaTonya), Tierra Johnson, Thurman Peterson, Devin Johnson, Brenda(Andre), Willie A, Coleen, Willie, Shaniqua, Richard and along with a host of nieces, nephews, extended family members, and dear friends who will forever hold her in their hearts.
