Linda Joyce Sweatt

Mrs. Linda J Sweatt, was born on July 26, 1949, in Christian, Kentucky to Mary Elizabeth Berry and Wesley Earl Berry.

Linda received her primary education from School 64 and later graduated from Crispus Attucks High School. Linda worked for Alliance as a home health aide for 30 years before retiring.

In her spare time, she could often be found on her deck either with friends and family or with just the company of her music. At times, she would enjoy spending time with her twin sister, Brenda, who gave her the nickname “Skinner”. Linda also often met with her daughter and grandchildren who would visit for good food and quality time.

Linda departed this life on Wednesday, July 16, 2025, at the age of 75 years old. Linda is preceded in death by her husband Steven E Sweatt, brother Clarence Berry, and sister Zaynab “Virginia” Riley.

She is survived by her daughter, Lajuana McKinney (Lambirth), grandchildren; Derrick McKinney II, and Linda McKinney, sisters; Marjorie S Clark, Nancy E Jones and Brenda J Davis and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives and cherished friends.
