Lee Jr. Nelson, 92, passed away at home with family on Sunday, July 20, 2025.Lee was born On August 6, 1932, in Ozan, Arkansas he was born to Darnell and Nollie (Clark) Nelson.

Lee graduated from O’Bannon High School in Arkansas. Lee joined the US Army in 1953 where he proudly serviced his country. He attended Pleasant Union Baptist Church in Indianapolis, Ind. Where he served on the board of Director, he also sang with the Male Choir.

On March 13, 2004, Lee Married Lenora Mae (Hooten) at Pleasent Union Missionary Baptist.

He worked at General Motors in Indianapolis, IN for 35 years, where he retired. He loved golfing, bowling, and anything related to sports. He enjoyed spending time with family.

Lee is survived by his wife, Lenora Nelson, four children; Shelby Nelson (Kokomo, IN), Clay and Gloria Nelson (Indianapolis, IN), Derrick and Wendy Nelson (Jacksonville, FL), Brandon Nelson (Indianapolis, IN), two stepchildren; Kenny and Jean Hooten (Indianapolis, IN), Larry and Louann Hooten (Indianapolis, IN); Sharon Hooten (Indianapolis, IN) and a host of grandchildren, great grand-children ,nieces and nephews.
