LaSha LaTrice Jennings

Nov 1, 1985 — Aug 12, 2026

Indianapolis

LaSha LaTrice Jennings was born on November 1, 1985, at Wishard Memorial Hospital in Indianapolis, Indiana. She was born to Charles Jennings and Kelly Beamon-Phillips.

She graduated from Arsenal Technical High School June 2,2004. Afterwards she took on many jobs to support herself, sometimes 2-3 jobs at a time. She was definitely a hard worker. LaSha set the tone for the rest of the family by striking out on her own by moving to Missouri, where she became great friends with Tereina Wilkerson and helped her raise her son, Haci. This helped prepare LaSha for her miracle baby Azai. After LaSha got her feet wet in Missouri, she moved to Savannah, GA where she lived for several years and loved every minute of it.

Sha's greatest passion was caring for son Azai, especially since due to her health she was told she would never conceive a child. But LaSha's strength proved them wrong. She found painting and arts & crafts very therapeutic. She enjoyed hosting and participating in vending events; showcasing her artwork, selling jewelry, Bye Bye Belly, and Travel. Speaking of travel, LaSha had the great opportunity to experience both Thailand and Belize with family.

LaSha had a sweet nature, a gentle soul, and a warm smile for everyone. Her world centered on family and cherished moments spent together. She leaves behind a legacy of pure love and kindness. Her family meant a lot to her. Though she is gone too soon, her sweet light remains in our hearts forever.

LaSha was called to rest on August 12, 2026.

LaSha will be cherished in the lives of her son: Azai Jennings, her father Charles Jennings and her mother Kelly Beamon-Phillips, Stepfathers: Melvin and Andrew, Sister: Shamilah Jermison. Brothers: Melvin Jermison and Tramell Jennings. And last but certainly not least, her grandmothers: Velma Jennings and LaJuana Beamon, aunties, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins, and a host of beloved family and friends.
