Jerry Louis Coe

JERRY LOUIS COE was born on Saturday, February 1, 1997, to Gerald Louis Coe and Diane Shorter in Indianapolis, IN. Jerry was the youngest of eight and a blessing to the family.

Jerry grew up in Rodney Terrace Apartments attending Indianapolis Public Schools until he graduated from Broad Ripple High School on June 8, 2016. Jerry went on to receive an associate degree from Ivy Tech on May 3, 2019, and a Bachelor of Arts from Indiana University - Indianapolis in 2022.

Raised under the coverage of the Lord, Jerry was baptized on Sunday, December 25, 2016, at Jesus House of Prayer Temple Pentecostal Apostolic Church.

Jerry had many interests and enjoyed working various jobs. After college he worked for Henry Schein, a worldwide distributor of medical and dental supplies. In July 2024, Jerry earned his Class A Commercial Driver’s License (CDL) and went on to work for Classic Carriers as a long-haul truck driver. In 2025, he began to work for American Automobile Association (AAA) as a tow truck operator, which is where he worked at the time of his passing.

Jerry was very family-oriented and enjoyed spending quality time with his siblings, nephews, and cousins. He loved getting together for special occasions and was always calling to check-in to share a laugh. During his down time, he worked out at the gym and immersed himself in Japanese culture including its history, the language, and anime.

Jerry departed this life on Monday, September 15, 2025, at the age of 28 years, 7 months, and 14 days.
