Jerrita (Renee) Marbley entered eternal rest on January 8, 2026, leaving behind a legacy of love and strength. She was born on February 9, 1964, in Indianapolis, Indiana, to Earnest Marbley and Ruby Freeman. She attended Northwest High School and later Kay’s Beauty College, where she became a licensed cosmetologist, and furthered her education as a Certified Nurse Aide (CNA).
Renee was known for her honesty and transparency, with a fearless ability to speak her mind—always authentic and unapologetically herself. She believed in God, and her strength came from Him.
She had a deep love for doing hair and took great pride in her work as a licensed cosmetologist. She also had a genuine passion for caring for her patients, a calling she fulfilled with compassion as a Certified Nurse Aide. Her love for her mother was unmatched, and caring for her came naturally and with ease. Her greatest blessings were her children and grandchildren, whom she loved deeply and proudly shared with everyone she knew.
Renee was preceded in death by her father, Earnest Marbley; her mother, Ruby Freeman; her grandson, Jashawn Lomax; and her brothers, Herbert Freeman and Lee Anthony Freeman.
She leaves to cherish her legacy: her children, Genita Lomax, Samuel Fancher, and Ashley Fancher; and her grandchildren, Chaliyah Moore, Mario Lomax, Samuel Fancher Jr., Samila Fancher, Mason Hunter, Rubii Warren, Heaven Fancher, Mia Fancher, Marlee Rodgers, Skylar Fancher, and Rylee Fancher.
Renee will be deeply missed and forever remembered for her love, honesty, and the way she showed up for those she cared about. She leaves behind a lifetime of memories that will continue to guide and comfort her family and friends.
