Jeffery L. Bennett

Jeffrey Lyn Bennett, the 5^th child of James and Yvonne Bennett, was born February 9, 1960 in Indianapolis, Indiana.

He professed his love for Christ at an early age. Jeffrey attended St. Rita Catholic Church where he served as an altar boy and received his confirmation (baptism) at the age of eight by Cardinal Maurice Otunga.

Jeffrey attended St. Rita Elementary School and Arlington High School. After high school, he enlisted in the United States Army were he did tours in Germany and Hawaii. After 8 years in the army, Jeffrey returned home to Indianapolis and began working in property management. His last place of employment was with Citi-mark Management as a building engineer. He retired March of 2022 to begin his life as a man of leisure. Jeffrey was the ultimate handyman to family and friends; if you needed help with something electrical, plumbing or painting, he was the man to call.

Jeffrey enjoyed traveling, shopping, cooking and barbequing with his sister while listening to good music and drinking a cold glass of sweet tea. He also enjoyed attending the Kentucky Derby. Jeffrey did not have any children, but he was the favorite uncle, mentor and friend to his nieces, nephews and cousins.

Jeffrey Lyn Bennett departed this life on Friday, April 14, 2023 at the age of 63. His parents, James and Yvonne Bennett; sister, Lisa Smith; and brothers: Tony, Keith and Vincent, all preceded him in death.

He leaves his cherished memories with his sister, Yvette Bennett; brothers, Michael Bennett (Laurita) and James Bennett (Bertha)l and a host of loving nieces, nephews, relatives and friends.
