Javon D. English "Jay"

JAVON DEANDRE ENGLISH was born October 7, 1992, in Detroit, Michigan. He was a cherished son, family member, and friend whose presence brought joy to everyone who knew him.

At a young age, Javon was baptized at Faith Temple Baptist Church, where he began his spiritual journey and developed the faith that would remain a part of his life. At the age of 12, he moved to Indianapolis, Indiana, where he continued to grow and build lasting relationships. He attended McFarland Middle School and later earned his high school diploma from The Excel Center, a milestone that reflected his determination and perseverance.

Javon was known for his warm heart, infectious smile, and unwavering loyalty. He was a devoted “Momma’s Boy” who shared a special bond with his mother and treasured every moment spent with his family. He loved traveling, creating memories with friends, and enjoying life’s simple pleasures.

Javon was a dedicated employee at Goodwill, where he was respected and appreciated for his strong work ethic, reliability, and positive attitude. He took pride in his work and was considered a valued member of the team.

Although Javon did not have children of his own, he embraced the role of uncle, to friends and family members children in his life. He willingly helped care for and support them, showing love, guidance, and encouragement whenever needed.

Javon will be remembered as a loving, compassionate, and selfless person who always put others before himself. His loyalty, generosity, and caring spirit touched countless lives and created bonds that will never be broken.

Javon Deandre English departed this life on Saturday, May 23, 2026, at 9:30pm at the age of 33 years, leaving behind a legacy of love, kindness, and unforgettable memories. He was preceded in death by his grandparents, Richard and Beverly English; father, Richard English Jr.; and brother, Michael “Shawn” Whitfield.

He leaves behind his beloved mother, Tereasa Jones; brothers, Brandon Lewis and Marco Richardson; grandmother, Maggie Harwell; aunts: Tracy Harwell, Hilda Black, Pamela English, Veronica English, Dorothy Redmond and Ila Bates; close cousins: Shaniquia Harwell, Devante Porter, Kevin Davis, Micah Jodway, Marquita Thompson, Lela English, and Wanya Hunter; Javon’s bestie, Devonir Williams and her son Brenden Anderson; as well as an abundance of nieces, nephews, uncles, aunts, cousins and friends.

Though his time with us was far too short, the love he shared and the memories he created will live on forever in the hearts of those who loved him.
