MS. JANE ALLEN JONES was born May 14, 1940, to Ewing and Thelma (Patterson) Williams in Portland, TN. Her parents moved to Indianapolis, IN before her first birthday. She was one of eight children.

She loved family gatherings. Jane was a loving, generous, sweet, and kind- hearted sister, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother and friend.

JANE met and fell in love with Cecil F. Jones (deceased) while attending Crispus Attucks High School. They were married in 1958, and from that union, came forth seven children. Two sons and five daughters.

Jane enjoyed a fruitful work life namely, RCA Television, GM Corp, Texas Instrument, Shortridge High School, and Fort Bemjamin Harrison.

She had several hobbies which included reading books, singing, dancing, arts and crafts, shopping, crocheting, working puzzles, playing cards (DAD), 500, Rummy, dominos, bingo, word puzzles and watching wrestling, and tending to her plants and oh what a green thumb she had.

JANE was called home on Tuesday, December 26, 2023, surrounded by her children and grandchildren.

Preceding her in death were her parents; brothers, George and Harold Williams; sisters: Elsie Graham, Laura Mabon, Thelma Robinson and Katherine Jones; grandsons: Anthony Jerome Garrett, Michael Ray Jones II and Preston Taylor Jones; son-in-law, David Boone.

JANE leaves to cherish her memory sons, Kevin E. Smith (Cindy) and Michael R. Jones (Lorrice); daughters: Gwendolyn Wade, Loretta Jones, Adrienne Atkins, Teresa A. Boone and Michelle K. Best; sister, Alma Washington; and a host of grandchildren, great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews, family members and friends.
