Jacqueline Lavonne Alexander "Ms. Bobbi"

With heavy hearts and deep love, we celebrate the life of Jacqueline L. Hall Smith Alexander, also known as Ms. Bobbi. She passed away on May 25,2025 at the age of 90. This beloved daughter was born on July 7, 1934, in Indianapolis, IN to Helen and Robert Pruitt. She attended Crispus Attucks High School and throughout her life she carried herself with grace, elegance and strength. Her early career included positions at William H. Blocks, L.S. Ayres to name a few. She later retired from North Central High School in 2003, where she was cherished by her students and staff. In her younger years, she enjoyed roller skating and brought joy to every rink she touched. As time passed, she found happiness in listening to music and dancing, often moving with a joy that made everyone smile. A proud fan of the Indiana Pacers, she never missed a chance to cheer on her team.

To know Ms. Bobbi was to know a woman of remarkable elegance from the way she dressed and spoke to the dignified way she carried herself. She was also a tough cookie! But more than anything, Jacqueline was the heart, soul and the ROCK of her family. She gave her children and grandchildren the gift of unconditional love, teaching them life's most valuable lessons with wisdom, patience, boundless guidance and support.

Jacqueline is preceded in death by her parents Robert and Helen Pruitt, sister Edna Morris, late husbands; Kenneth Hall, Johnnie Smith and Harvey Alexander, son Dewayne Hall, grandsons; Eric Hall and Leroy Harris Jr., great great grandchildren; A'reea and William Junior Pittman.

She is survived by her loving children; Sherry Hall, Mike (Pharris) Hall, Kathy (Leroy) Harris, Nikki Hall and Tracey Smith, her adored grandchildren; Jowanna Davis, Dwight Green, Krystle (Rodney) Mason, Kenny Harvey, Rianna (Marvin) Graves, Raven Harris, Roial Harris, Jaron Long, Jeremy Washington and Bresha Smith. Her beautiful legacy continues through 28 great grandchildren, 14 great grandchildren, an abundance of nieces and nephews along with a host of beloved relatives and friends who will carry her memory in their hearts forever.

Jacqueline's life was a song of grace, laughter, perseverance and love. Though our hearts are broken, we find comfort in knowing she is now dancing among our heavenly father and family-elegant as ever, watching over all those she cherished.
