Glenn Wallace

This is the story about Glenn, PawPaw to most, Gleophus, Moose, Gator or Butch to others. Glenn was an amazing person that was loved, is missed and will be forever cherished.

Glenn’s story began on June 16, 1947, as the only child. Glenn was born in Louisville, KY. Later in life Glenn moved to Indianapolis, IN where he would go on to graduate from Shortridge. After graduating high school, he would go on to enlist in the Air Force in 1966 where he would serve until 1970. After serving in the Air Force Glenn would go on to work in several different fields. Glenn was a man of many talents and did not mind trying new things and loved to skate and eat.

Glenn met his wife to be Paulette in 1978 their union has last over 40 years. To this union they were blessed to inherit two bonus children Andre’ Donaldson and Monica Yvonne. In their union they were blessed with Thai-Lynn Wallace.

Glenn was employed with a company with many name changes most recently Vertex. Glenn was employed with this same company for over 35 years.

As Glenn’s heath began to decline his wife Paulette devoted herself to their marital vows of in sickness and health. Glenn became her “big baby.” Glenn was a member of True Vine Missionary Baptist Church where he served in many ministries. He started off as a peppermint pushing usher (he kept peppermints in his chest pocket); later became a deacon and loved singing in the male chorus. Glenn was our designated Thanksgiving prayer. This is something the family will miss the most.

Glenn’s grandchildren were his heart and joy. There is no denying this fact. His babies as he referred to them where the people he loved most. Time spent with PawPaw was always special.

Loved ones that cleared the path for Glenn are his father James Wallace, mother Mattie Coleman, grand-mother Lois Wallace, granddaughter Jazmon Denise Hoskins, mother-in-law Amanda Carney, nephew Leavell Karon Davis.

Loved ones that will miss Glenn until they meet again are his wife Paulette, daughters Monica and Thai-Lynn, son Andre’, grandchildren Aushae (Shaester), Aunyae (Yum Yum), Breiah, Shawn, Tyland, Ty’Shaun (Trouble), Ty’Tionna (TeTe), Zailene, great grandchildren Bonnie, Imani, and Lennox (Kilo), brothers and sisters-in-law along with his nieces and nephews, cousins and close friends.
