Gerry Hollonquest Sr.

GERRY HOLLONQUEST SR. was born March 28, 1955 in Wetumpka, Alabama to Clifton and Agnes Hollonquest (both deceased). Siblings include brothers Clifton Hollonquest Jr. (deceased) and Daryl Hollonquest, sisters Laura N. Townsend, Ernestine Lewis, and Barbara J. Peterson (deceased). 

Gerry graduated from John Marshall High School and attended Vincennes University. He met and married Cynthia Eggleston on March 29, 1980–1989, and they had a son, Gerry Jr. 

On January 1, 1995 until 2007, he was married to Dorothy Olson. 

Gerry joined the United States Army in 1983, accumulating honors and medals. He also joined the Army Reserves for several years and was honorably discharged in the late 80s. 

He held jobs at Jenn Air, Burk, Classic Cleaners, and retired at age 68 from Walmart Warehouse as a truck driver. He was very outspoken, fun to be around, and lived by his motto: 'Work, and work some more.' 

Gerry’s hobbies included gardening, backyard cookouts, and listening to down-home blues. 

He leaves to cherish his memory: son, Gerry Hollonquest Jr.; daughter, Jamaica Larrison; stepson, Camron Olson (Brandy); grandsons, Jordan (Laniesha) and Gerry Hollonquest II; great-granddaughters, Bryella and Raven; brother, Daryl Hollonquest Sr.; sisters, Laura N. Townsend and Ernestine Lewis (Dave); a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.
