Desmond Lamar Jackson

On August 6, 2026, Desmond Lamar Jackson passed away at the age of 36 in Indianapolis, Indiana. Desmond was born on May 18, 1990, in Muncie, Indiana to Leroy and Blanche Jackson. 

He and his family moved to Indianapolis in 2000 where he grew up surrounded by friends and family he loved. Desmond would always reminisce about the neighborhood he grew up in, the jokes and games they’d all play, and how nothing beats those Summer nights in “The ’Burg”. 

Desmond will be remembered by friends and family as supportive, thoughtful, and amazing at timing a joke even in the worst times. Desmond loved football and enjoyed settling in to watch a game. He loved making jokes and laughing with his family and friends. He took great pride in being a caretaker for his younger brother, Darrion, his niece, Brayla, and his nephew, Milo. Caring for the people he loved was an important part of who he was. 

Desmond is survived by Leroy Jackson (Father), Krystal Jackson (Sister), Darrion Jackson (Brother), grandmothers, aunts, uncles, cousins, and many friends. Desmond lovingly brought joy to those who truly knew him, and that joy will remain in the laughter and memories they shared. His love for his family ran deep, and he shared the depth of his soul with those closest to him. As they remember him, may the sorrow of losing him rest beside the joy of having known and loved him.
