Cornelius Reed

Mr. Cornelius Reed, the son of the late Matthew and Mamie (Thornton) Reed, was born on September 3, 1931 in Indianapolis, Indiana. 

Cornelius was educated in the Indianapolis Public School system. He is a veteran of the United States Army.

“Nee”, as he was lovingly called by family and friends, accepted Christ as his Savior and was baptized at New Bethel Missionary Church many years ago.

Cornelius worked in asphalt paving for the City of Indianapolis for many years and later used his skills in the construction field.

His positive attitude in life and the loving kindness he always showed others will be missed by all who knew and loved him.

Mr. Cornelius Reed departed this life on Tuesday, March 5, 2024 at the BLESSED age of 92 years.

He leaves to cherish his memory to his daughter, Rene’ Radford; son, Jeffrey Ridley; grandson, Dwione Radford; granddaughter, Dara Radford; sister, Lovella Mays; and a host of great-grandchildren; great-great-grandchildren; nephews, nieces, loving relatives and friends.
