Claudine Humbert was born to James and Otelia Humbert on August 5, 1947 in the small town of Robinsonville, Mississippi about 10 miles from Tunica Mississippi. She attended Rosa Fort High School in the Tunica area. Claudine’s family relocated to the Indianapolis, Indiana area in the mid 60’s where she has lived since that time.

Claudine never married. She did give birth to three children, Maggie Lee Humbert, Debra Ann Humbert and Maurice Humbert. She professed her hope in Christ and was a lifelong member of the Temple of Believers Deliverance Church located here in the city. She took great pride in her position as a Senior Usher. She also volunteered at the church’s food pantry and any other community activity in which the church participated. She could be counted on to be present! Because of her friendly caring attitude and spirit she was appointed the National Hospitality Leader. She would strike up a conversation and hug anyone. She also loved to joke and laugh. Claudine loved the Lord! Talk about someone who was always ready to tell her testimony and give God praise, that was Claudine! She would stretch her arms as far as they could go and lift her head high toward heaven when giving praise to God! She has always had a very strong faith in the Lord. She believed that there was nothing that God couldn’t do! She loved her pastor (also her brother); she was a loving, faithful and supportive member. Yes, she will certainly be missed by all who knew and loved her! She will especially be missed by her bestie, her sister, Hertistine.

Claudine was preceded in death by her baby brother Clifton Humbert, her father, James Humbert, Sr., sister Ruth Simms, her daughter Maggie Lee Humbert, her mother, Otelia Humbert and her eldest brother, Leandrew Fennell.

Claudine is survived by her two children, Debra Ann Humbert, Maurice Humbert; her sister Hertistine Gilmore, (Annie Fennell & Cynthia Murry, sisters-in-law); brothers, Bishop James Humbert, Jr. & William Humbert, Sr. From her daughter Maggie, she has three grandsons, Leandrew Humbert, Gerald and Demonte Cotton
