Betty Ann Haddix

Betty Ann Haddix, daughter of the late Elmer Haddix Sr. and Margaret Bell Haddix, was born June 21, 1937 in Indianapolis Indiana. Betty received her education at Indianapolis Public School #26 and Crispus Attucks High School.

At an early age, Betty professed her faith in Christ with New Bethel Missionary Baptist Church, later becoming a member of Trinity Baptist Church under the leadership of Pastor Gordon Rowe.

Betty worked for Riley Hospital as a cafeteria worker. She was a family-oriented person, always demonstrating her love for her family, preparing good ole fashioned scrumptious meals on a daily basis. Betty loved to cook, being surrounded by family, and had a laugh that would brighten your day. She loved classic movies and various Christian TV Shows. Betty loved singing in the choir and attending Bible Study’s.

Ms. Betty Ann Haddix departed this life on Saturday, February 6, 2021 at the age of 83 years, 7 months and 15 days. Her mother, Margaret Bell Haddix; father, Elmer Haddix Sr.; brothers: Elmer Haddix Jr., Rueben Haddix and Michael Haddix; sister, Vanessa Venerable Simms; and sister-in-law, Martha Haddix all preceded her in death.

Left to cherish her memory are her brothers, Robert Haddix and Dale Venerable Sr. (Monica); sister, Veota Veloris Jones. Betty is the beloved aunt to nieces: Kimberly Easter, Sharhonda Hickman, Stephanie Radford, Daphne Venerable and LaShonna Crayton; nephews: Prentiss Venerable, Sean Venerable, Dale Venerable Jr., Brandon Venerable, Da’Juan Venerable and Gregory Radford; eighteen great-nieces and nephews; a host of cousins, extended family and friends.
