Avery Devon Neal

Avery Devon Neal was born in Fort Wayne,IN on January 27,1993 and sweetly embraced as “Suga Av”. He was raised in Indianapolis,IN. Avery graduated high school in 2011, and completed 3 years of college at Marion University. Avery had a fierce love for running and participated in the Turkey Dash run every year since 2009. He loved family, friends, joking around and had an infectious laugh.

Avery survived a brain aneurysm in 2016 and remarkably made a full recovery. Four years later in 2021 he survived the FedEx mass shooting and although shaken up he returned back to work. If there was one word that could describe Avery it was persevere and no matter how many times life knocked him down, he always got back up with a positive attitude. He was a beloved son, brother, uncle, grandson, nephew, and cousin.

Avery leaves behind his mother Robin Meyers, father Greg Meyers, Sisters Ashley Roney (Reggie Roney Jr.), Anna Walker, brother Darren Meyers, niece JaNiya Jackson, nephews Reggie Roney III, and Syair Walker. Grandmother Birdia Freeman, grandfather Samuel Freeman aunts Lisia Fransisco(TreMayne) and Regina Neal, uncle Derrick Neal(Shamona), Kimberly Meyers, Cheryl Walton(Stacy), Robert Meyers(Connie), along with a host of great aunts, uncles, cousins, and friends.
