  1. I am so sorry to hear of the death of Robert. The passing away of a loved one is always with much sorrow. May we have faith and confidence in the Bible’s promise of a time when pain, sickness and death are a thing of the past (Revelation 21:3, 4). My condolences are with the family at this difficult time.

  2. Robert and I worked together at the Indianapolis Police Dept in the seventies. He was a person who lived an honorable life practicing those standards that others only spoke of. He taught me a great deal about life and perspective. I will never forget my friend.

  3. Dear Family, we are saddened to learn of your loss. Susan and I would like to send our love and condolence to you at this time. Family of Don G. Lawrence

  4. Condolences to the Jackson family on learning of Bob’s “Home Going.” Mr./Ofc. Jackson was always a true gentleman with everyone. Dapper and as “GQ”as could be while dressed to the top in a bow tie. I was blessed to have crossed paths with this fellow who was the “3rd eldest” IPD retiree at his death. Few if any have accomplished his goals and objectives in like manner. Honors to one who was another good fellow and man, in this life, I was blessed to cross paths with.

It has been something to have born witness to what I did that Bob was 33 years of age when he became an IPD officer over 59 years ago in 1960. Bob was blessed with 93 years of longevity in this life. He certainly fulfilled his missions until – for a short time – he was presented with his preparation for his end of service in this world.

    ~ Requiem Æternam | Salutate ~

  5. To the Family of Mr. Robert Jackson: Our thoughts and prayers are with you at this time. May you be blessed with loving memories of Mr. Jackson.
    With sympathy,
The Corley Family, Dixie and Paula

  6. You will really be missed Mr. Jackson! You and the many of stories you shared will never be forgotten.
