Neely Lowayne Leslie O’Kelley, the daughter of Helner White and Andrew White, was born on February 27, 1939 in Ardmore, Alabama.
She attended grade school in Ardmore, Tennessee and high school at Crispus Attucks in Indianapolis, Indiana.
Lowayne worked as a nurse’s aide at General Hospital/ Wishard Hospital for many years until her retirement.
She became the widower of James O’Kelley on September 9, 1998 where they had been married for 34 years.
Mrs. Lowayne O’Kelley departed this life on February 1, 2021 at the age of 81 years.
She was preceded in death by her brother, Chester Leslie and her mother, Helner White.
Lowayne leaves to cherish her memory, one daughter, Vickie A. Morris; three sons, Darryl A. O’Kelley (Tammy), Sidney L. Parker and Christopher A. Morris (Melody); nine grandchildren; seventeen great-grandchildren and three great-great-grandchildren; a host of nieces, nephews, other family members and friends.

RIP Mrs O’Kelley. I worked with her at Wishard in 1978. I was a new RN and she took me under her wing and taught me a great deal. i
have thought of her many times over the years.She spoke so highly about her family and loved u all very much. Thank u O’ Kelly and may god have u in the palm of his hand
