Mr. Lawrence E. Hooks, the son of Lawrence A. Hooks and Lenora Yelladay Hooks was born October 20, 1958 in Indianapolis, Indiana. He received his education in the Indianapolis Public School System. He graduated from Arsenal Technical High School in 1977. He went on to complete two years of study at GMI Institute in Michigan. 'Larry' professed a hope in Christ at an early age and was baptized at the Mt. Zion Missionary Baptist Church by the Rev. R. T. Andrews. Mr. Hooks was blessed with three sons, Eric Hooks, Omar Hooks and Dion Hooks. He was an employee of the United States Postal Service for over twenty-five years. Mr. Lawrence E. 'Larry' Hooks departed this life on August 16, 2008 at the age of forty-nine years.He leaves to cherish his memory, his beloved, Elaine Mason; sons, Eric, Omar and Dion; parents, Lawrence and Lenora; sisters, Sharon Hooks and Charlene Guthrie (Tony); brother, Jay Hooks (Vicky); a host of aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces, nephews, and many more relatives and friends.
