Kenneth Ray Thompson Sr. was born to Charlie and Eunice (Sims) Thompson in Memphis, Tennessee on December 5, 1942. He attended Crispus Attucks High School, Ivy Tech Community College and served in the United States Army.

“Kenny”, as he was lovingly called, professed his faith in Christ at an early age. Kenny attended Phillips Temple C.M.E. Church under the leadership of Pastor Oliver DeWayne Walker. -Psalms 23 1:6

He was employed at the Chrysler Foundry for 30 years before retiring in 2000. He worked in the elements of triple-degree heat while building engine blocks.

He loved watching any type of sports and westerns on television, and photography.  His health failed many years ago, but he was blessed to live in his home with his children Kenny Jr. and Samantha.
