Jerry D. McCord, III, age 70, died on Thursday, May 31, 2018, at Harrison Terrace, a caring and loving community located in Indianapolis, IN. He was born in Atlanta, GA to Jerry, II and Lina (Hendricks) McCord, and was the older of two children. Jerry displayed a larger than life personality at a very young age. After graduating from Pearl High School (Nashville, TN) he attended Tennessee State University, where he received a Bachelor's Degree in Business Administration. Danny, as he was affectionately known, was preceded in death by his parents and is survived by his wife, Kathleen, and two sons, Jerry, IV and Tony. Danny will be remembered for his willingness to help others as a father figure and mentor. Funeral services will be held on Thursday, June 7, 2018 at 11:00 am at Lavenia & Summers 5811 East 38th Street, with visitation from 6:00 to 8:00 pm on Wednesday, June 6 and again on June 7 from 10:00 - 11:00 am. There will be an Omega service on Wednesday June 6 at 7:00 pm. (All Omegas are asked to arrive by 6:30 pm). Please share an online condolence or memory of Danny at www.laveniasummers.com
