Gladys Marie Jackson, the daughter of Rosie Lee Cox and George Hammonds, was born August 26, 1947 in Moody, Texas.

Gladys moved to Muncie, Indiana when she was 18 years old and attended Ball State University.

She confessed a hope in Jesus Christ at an early age and rededicated her life to Him later in life. Gladys was a member of West Side Baptist Church under the leadership of Pastor Michael Bryant where she worked with summer lunch programs each year.

Gladys enjoyed gatherings with family and friends. She was always the life of the party, known for her beautiful smile and ability to make anyone laugh.

She retired from Cintas Corporation located in Muncie and moved with her daughter to Indianapolis, Indiana in 2009.

Gladys had a daughter, Jasmine Jackson and a son, Julius Jackson whom she shared with her ex-husband and life time best friend, Julius Lee Jackson.
