Fronnie Lee McClure Bradley was born August 17, 1931, in Prospect, Tennessee to James Worley McClure and Mittie Viola Woodruff McClure. She transitioned to eternal life on Monday, June 7, 2021. Fronnie was educated in the public schools of Giles County, graduating from Bridgeforth High School in Pulaski, Tennessee in 1950.

Fronnie accepted Christ at an early age and was a member of Phoenix Chapel A.M.E. Church in Prospect until she later moved to Indianapolis, IN, where she became a faithful member of St. John A.M.E. Church. After graduating from high school, she acquired employment at her elementary school cafeteria, which furthered her love of cooking. She later moved to Indianapolis, IN, where she met and married the late Robert (Peen) Bradley. To this union were born 11 children. While raising her family she often worked with her husband in their restaurant where she became known for her delicious fried pies. They later opened a neighborhood convenience store at 20th Street and College Avenue where she became “Everybody’s Mama.”

Fronnie was an excellent cook who followed no recipes, and all were welcome at her kitchen table. She was known throughout the city and beyond for her famous “Sweet Potato Pies” and was encouraged to open a business selling pies, but she never consented. She just loved seeing people enjoying her food.

Fronnie was preceded in death by her husband, her parents, one infant son, Charles Bradley, her brother, John Thomas McClure, Sr., great-grandsons, Henry Maxie, DuJuan & DuVuan Love, and many other close relatives. She leaves to cherish her memory her loving and devoted children Yvonne Bradley, Marcus (Annette) Bradley, Carolyn (Richard) Harwell, Kenneth Bradley, Terry (Cliff) Lloyd, Dwayne Bradley, Margaret Bradley, Danny (Keri) Bradley, Ronnie Bradley, and Jacqueline Bradley, all of Indianapolis, IN; 18 grandchildren; 24 great-grandchildren; 3 great-great grandchildren; a sister, Jewel Hudson, Desoto, TX; a host of loving nieces, nephews, many cherished cousins, and close friends.
