Eva C. Knox Berry Sands was born November 22, 1941, in Arkadelphia, Arkansas to the late Willie Herbert Knox Sr. and the late Hettie Jean Knox. She was a member of St. Paul A.M.E. Church.She served faithfully and with distinction playing and singing for the church choir.

After receiving her early education at Peake High School.She moved to Indianapolis, Indiana. She worked for the United States Government as a Key Punch Operator.

She was married to Charles Lewis in which one son,Dewayne Lewis was born.She later married the late William T. Berry in which one daughter the late Cynthia Lynn Berry was born. The late Cynthia Lynn Berry delivered a beautiful baby girl, Monique before passing. Eva was married briefly to the late Pete Sands before returning to Indianapolis.

Eva Knox Berry Sands leaves to mourn one son, Dewayne Lewis & his children: Shannon, Breahnna & Keishawn. One daughter, Monique Berry & children, Paris & Jasmine. Eva leaves to mourn: Two brothers, Willie H. Knox Sr. of Arizona(Montoya), Edward Knox Sr. of Portland, Oregon: Three sisters: Sarah Knox Tharpe (Son, Tony) of Indianapolis,Indiana, Brenda Knox of Fort Worth, Texas and Martha Knox Robinson Gaither(Richard) of Fort Worth, Texas.

Eva leaves to mourn several special first cousins: Evana Downing and Juanita Viers of Indianapolis,Indiana; Robert Browning and Herbert Biggs of Portland Oregon. A host of special grandchildren, special nieces and nephews, special cousins, special friends at Bishop Farris Senior Living Center and special classmates and friends everywhere.
