  1. Sending our love from Clifford Jr., Wife Nell, Aunt Thelma, Cousins Sharon Dana and Leonard

  2. “Resolution of Sympathy and Love”
“I give unto them eternal life; and they shall never perish, neither shall any man pluck them out of my hands.” John 10:28

HEREAS Mrs. Dollie June (Phillips) Starkes has now reach that milestone in life that those of us who remain can only wait to obtain. Mrs. Starkes, has entered that heavenly city as our Savior greets him with those loving words from Matthew 25:23; “Well done, good and faithful servant; thou hast been faithful over a few things, I will make thee ruler over many things: enter thou into the joy of thy Lord.”

SOME PEOPLE come into our lives and go quickly. Some stay for a while, touch our hearts and we are never the same. Mrs. Starkes’ soft spoken demeanor, bodacious laugh and loving heart touched the lives, hearts and minds of many. To her children; Lora Mayfield, Wendell Starkes, grandchildren, great-grandchildren, great-great-grandchildren, sisters, Deloris and Grace Phillips; brother, James Phillips a host of family and friends we cannot begin to know your grief, but we are praying with you and for you.

BE IT RESOLVED, therefore, that the sympathy of New Hope Missionary Baptist Church and pastor, be extended to the family of Mrs. Dollie June (Phillips) Starkes. Rest assure the Lord can and will strengthen you. I Chronicles. 16:11. “Seek the Lord and her strength, seek His face diligently.”

You should pledge yourselves to cherish Mrs. Starkes’ memory and life through your Christian work, devotion and service to others.

BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that a copy of this resolution will be placed in the Church records of the family and a copy be given to the family.

HUMBLY SUBMITTED on this 14th day of May, in the year of our Lord, Two-Thousand and twenty-two.

Rev. Clifford T. Person Jr., Pastor
