In 2007, Catherine married Pastor John Adaway, who preceded her in death. While a member at Irvington First Baptist Church, she was a devoted member until her health began to decline. Her service in the church was immaculate and she was a faithful church member that work untiredly. Catherine was the type of church member, that what her hands found to do in the house of the Lord, she done it with all her might. Sister Catherine love the church and exemplified her love with action. Her passion was cooking, and she had a love for baking cakes; there was not a dish she could not cook to perfection.
On June 1, 2022, she quietly obeyed the command of her Lord and Savior Jesus Christ and quietly drifted into the unknown land, a land where no living man has ever entered. The transition was done, and death angel’s mission was completed. She will be missed by her family and friends.
