Armond White, son of Ellis and Eloise White, was born January 11, 1957 in Meridian, Mississippi.  He attended school in Mississippi, Japan and Indianapolis Public Schools.  He graduated from Washington High School in 1975.  Armond was an outstanding athlete in basketball and football.  He was all-state in football, all-sectional and all-regional in basketball. He was united in holy matrimony to Carolyn Neal-White in May of 1990. They remained together for 31 years and grew together in matrimony.  They enjoyed each other’s company and were truly good friends.

His early faith was shaped by attending the Kingdom Hall of Jehovah’s Witnesses.  He later accepted Christ as his savior and attended Eastern Star Baptist Church under the leadership of Pastor Jeffrey A. Johnson Sr.

Armond worked as a counselor for at-risk youth at Atterbury Job Corps.  He served as Center Director and Residential Advisor. He also worked with special needs children and in group homes.  In Tampa, FL he served as a drug counselor.
