Mrs. Annette (Jones) Gamill, lovingly called “Punch” and “MaMa”, was born February 5, 1944 in Belzoni, Mississippi to Dallas and Addie B. Jones.
She pursued a career in nursing and worked as a Certified Nurse’s Aide for many years in nursing homes. She enjoyed taking care of and caring for people.
Annette confessed her faith and hope in Jesus Christ and was a faithful member of Mt. Pisgah Baptist Church.
She was united in Holy Matrimony to Mr. Johnnie Gamill on September 25, 1961 and they shared 59 years together. To their union, seven children were born.
“MaMa” was a great cook and she enjoyed cooking, sewing, gardening and music. She also loved being with her family, especially her grandchildren and great-grandchildren, all while talking, laughing and joking. Annette was a funny lady and you could count on her to make you laugh. She was loved by all who came in contact with her. “MaMa” had the ability to touch you with her amazing spirit.
Mrs. Annette (Jones) Gamill departed this life on Tuesday, May 25, 2021 at the age of 77 years. Her children: Johnnie “Donald” Gamill Jr., Edward “Dewayne” Gamill and Druscilla “Mother” Daniels all preceded her in death.
She leaves to cherish her loving memory to her husband, Johnnie Gamill; children: Terri “Tina” Jones (Billy); Gerlyn “Stacy” Jenkins (Calvin), Regina “Necie” Gamill and Alex “Plutus” Gamill (Carolyn); son-in-law, Kenneth Daniels; eleven grandchildren: Lakeysha Hamilton, Kimberly Johnson, Christopher Lloyd, Peter Johnson, Corwin Lloyd, Johnnie Gamill III, Brittney Jones, Tia Jones, Darrius Jenkins, Pashawn Jenkins and Larry Kennedy; eighteen great-grandchildren; two great-great-grandchildren; a host of nieces, nephews, loving family and friends.
