Born in: Indianapolis, Indiana
Resided in: Indianapolis, Indiana
Alanah J. Finney, our Alanah girl, was born March 7, 1998 in Indianapolis, Indiana
She was the firstborn of Amber Norine Finney and Christopher Holt.
Alanah accepted Christ at age eleven, was baptized and became a member of
Pilgrim Chapel Missionary Baptist Church in 2009.
Alanah received her elementary education in Indianapolis Public Schools and her secondary education was in KIPP INDY Public Schools earning her high school diploma in 2016. Alanah was very independent and walked in strong confidence to achieve whatever goal she set for herself.
Alanah was an “old soul” who loved singing karaoke and clowning around with her family. When she was a little girl Alanah spent a lot of time with her Grandma Gina and Great Grandma Rilda. It was during these times that she developed a love for and came to enjoy old school 70’s, 80’s and 90’s R&B music, singing along with the Grandmas knowing all the words to most songs. Both Gina and Rilda preceded Alanah in death.
Alanah’s bright star lit up our lives for just a short twenty-three years and nine months. Her star faded on December 5, 2021. Alanah leaves to cherish her memory, her mother, Amber Wood {Amanda}, father, Christopher Holt, grandmother, Cynthia Holt, her brothers, Davion Holt, Richard Jackson, Evan Jackson and Trey Wood and a host of loving Aunts, Uncles, cousins and friends.

Forever young and lovely, gathered in the arms of her Savior until the day that death will be no more. We do not grieve as those who have no hope despite the heartache at this time
Rest in power, Alanah! Let your spirit guide your family and memories linger in all those who loved you. Prayers to Amber, AJ, Chris and the boys.
